STEVE GOHOURI netted a spectacular injury-time equaliser to deny Hull a first away victory in over a year and confirm their relegation from the Premier League.
The Ivorian centre-back struck with an acrobatic overhead kick to hammer the final nail in the Tigers’ top-flight coffin.
Victor Moses gave Wigan the lead on the half-hour, but goals from youngsters Will Atkinson and Mark Cullen turned the tables before Gohouri struck the killer blow.
The result brings the future of under-fire Hull boss Iain Dowie into further question. Dowie said: “It’s not up to me, it’s a question you have to ask a thousand people.
“I’ve enjoyed it, there’s a strong spirit amongst the players but it’s an unforgiving league.”
