Germany hits Computacenter profit

IT company Computacenter reported a four per cent fall in profit for the full year yesterday as higher costs from new contracts ate into margins in the services business in Germany, its second-largest market by revenue. Adjusted profit before tax fell to £71.3m in the year to 31 December from £74.2m a year earlier. Group revenue rose 2.2 per cent to £2.9bn in constant currency. Revenue from Germany fell to £1.19bn from £1.23bn, while revenue from the UK climbed 8.5 per cent to £1.2bn.
