GROWTH in Germany will amount to just 0.5 per cent this year, according to a downgraded forecast by Barclays.

The bank had previously expected one per cent growth in Germany for 2013.

The Eurozone’s supposed powerhouse economy regained just 0.1 per cent GDP in the first three months of the year, official estimates show, after diving 0.7 per cent in the final quarter of 2012.
