GEMILI TARGETS SUB-10 SECOND RUN AT LONDON 2012

TEAM GB sprint sensation Adam Gemili believes he is close to breaking the 10-second barrier and aims to do so at London 2012. The 18-year-old, who secured 100m gold at the World Junior Championships in a time of 10.05 seconds, said: “I will go [to the Olympics] and execute my race plan and, if I do that, hopefully the time will come. If it doesn’t then it is not to be but it is close to coming hopefully.” Gemili’s athletics career only began a matter of months ago; he had trained to be a footballer with Dagenham and Redbridge.
