William Sinclair, a supplier of horticultural supplies, said yesterday the cold snap at the start of the year has prevented its sales from growing. The firm said consumers had “remained indoors contemplating their frozen gardens”, but it remains confident that green-fingered Brits will spend money on their plants once the weather improves. Shares in the firm rose 4.2 per cent yesterday.
