FRESHFIELDS Bruckhaus Deringer yesterday named the six London lawyers that will become its newest partners, as part of a 14-strong promotion round worldwide.
The magic circle law firm made almost half of the promotions in its Fleet Street offices, with pensions specialist Dawn Heath, corporate lawyer Peter Clements and financial disputes associate Christopher Robinson all becoming equity partners from 1 May.
They will be joined by high yield and leveraged finance lawyer Denise Ryan, financial institutions specialist George Swan and Sam Newhouse, who focuses on energy and natural resources.
The firm also promoted lawyers in its Berlin, New York, Hong Kong, Dusseldorf, Hamburg, Vienna and Paris offices. Though the total number is down on 2012’s partner round, London gained one more partner than last year.
Senior partner Will Lawes said this year’s new partners will enhance Freshfields’ “exceptional client service”.
