Despite lying on the southeast outer edge of Greater London, Bexley is proving popular with commuters due to excellent transport links into central London.
Despite living further out, residents get a lot for their money; house prices are significantly lower than in prime central London but houses are considerably bigger.
There are two main parts of the area: Old Bexley, which still has the appearance of a village, and a more suburban side of the town, which houses the main town centre.
The area is known for its top performing grammar schools, which makes it an attractive location for families with young children who want to be within the catchment area.
