Fiat mulls post merger US IPO

City A.M. Reporter
FIAT is believed to be considering a listing in New York once its forthcoming merger with Chrysler is completed.

The Italian car maker’s shares are currently traded in Italy but chief executive Sergio Marchionne is reportedly considering moving the primary listing to the US as he creates a giant aiming to take on the likes of General Motors.

Fiat is moving towards a merger with the US company once it completes its purchase of the stake in Chrysler it does not already own, and moving to the US would be a big blow to the Italian economy.
