Fenner stays on track in Q2

POLYMER manufacturer Fenner said yesterday that trading in its second quarter had been in line with expectations, with strong trading coming from its engineered conveying solutions arm in Australia.

Fenner added it saw signs of recent improvement in the North America market, where demand for coal fell to a record low level over the six months to February.

The FTSE 250 firm, which acquired four businesses last year, said they were performing well in the first few months of ownership.

The group said it would continue to make progress over the second half of the financial year.
