MANCHESTER United target Cesc Fabregas has no intention of leaving Barcelona this summer, according to manager Tito Vilanova.
The former Arsenal midfielder was the subject of a £25.9m bid from the Premier League champions earlier this week, while the Gunners have first refusal to sign back the star they let go to Camp Nou in 2011 for £25.4m.
However Fabregas, 26, has dealt a blow to both potential suitors by informing his current coach he has no interest in making an imminent return to England.
“He wants to succeed here,” said Vilanova. “I’m aware there have been offers. I had a conversation with him and he told me that he wanted to continue here and that he didn’t want to go to another big club.”
