FA’s Terry inquest set to continue

FOOTBALL: The Football Association’s disciplinary hearing into the race row between Chelsea captain John Terry and QPR defender Anton Ferdinand is to go into a third day, with Terry’s Chelsea team-mate Ashley Cole expected to testify in his favour. Former Chelsea coach Ray Wilkins also admitted he would be prepared to support Terry. He said: “I gave evidence on his behalf at the magistrates’ court and I would do so again at the FA hearing, if they wish me to.” Terry retired from international duty on Sunday because he felt the FA had made his England position “untenable”.
