LAW FIRM Eversheds yesterday said it had promoted 28 lawyers to partner, with eight promoted to partner in the London office.
The firm, which has 43 offices around the world, said the number of promotions was an increase on the 22 lawyers who were made partner last year.
Over 60 per cent of the promotions have come outside of the UK, the firm said yesterday, with 32 per cent of partnerships going to women.
Chief executive Bryan Hughes said: “These promotions underpin the firm’s vision, to be the global law firm that sets the standards, as we strive to nurture our talent and retain our focus on working together as one global team.”
Overall, its company commercial practice group promoted 14 new partners, with ten partners promoted in its litigation and dispute management team. It also added four partners to the human resources group. The eight London partners are Rachel Broquard, Jon Cox-Brown, Steve Dunseath, Sarah Garner, Emma Gordon, Elizabeth Graves, Richard New, Mary Anne Roff, Andrew Terry and Frances Woodhead.
