THE MIGHTY Eurovision song contest – famed for its contestants’ partisan voting results – returns this Saturday, but it seems that the tactic isn’t confined to the singing competition.
More than 700 analysts and investors have been surveyed for IR magazine’s annual awards, in a bid to find the European company best at keeping its investors happy.
Though results aren’t out until 20 June, the voting so far is already offering some insight into the European comms industry. It appears as though Eurovision judges aren’t the only ones fond of political voting – The Capitalist is told that within the European investment community Spain, Germany and France are all choosing to bestow votes for firms from their home countries.
Hopefully that doesn’t mean it’ll be nil points for the UK yet again.
