Eurogroup promises Cyprus aid

The Eurozone will agree on a Cyprus bailout package by the end of March, financial ministers from the bloc said in a statement yesterday. Negotiations over a Cypriot bailout stalled last year when the country’s Communist premier balked at the reforms demanded in lieu of aid funds. But the nation’s new President Nicos Anastasiades committed himself to reform in order to obtain a swift deal, which the Eurogroup of financial ministers said would come this month.
