Electronic Arts revenue down

VIDEO game publisher Electronic Arts reported lower total revenue and profit for the fourth quarter.

For the three months ended 31 March, total revenue declined to $1.2bn (£775m) from $1.37bn a year ago.

Net income fell to $323m, or $1.05 per share, from $400m, or $1.20 per share, a year ago.

Adjusted revenue rose 6.4 per cent to $1.04bn from a year ago, beating analysts’ average estimate of $1.03bn.

Shares of Electronic Arts rose seven per cent to $19.70 in after-hours trading yesterday.
