Earls Court development approved

The redevelopment of Earls Court and West Kensington got the green light yesterday after the Mayor of London gave his approval.

The plans for the 32 hectare site will eventually see the development of over 6,700 homes over the 20 year construction period. Boris Johnson said the scheme would generate 36,000 construction jobs, and give both the area and London’s wider economy a “massive boost”. Both Kensington & Chelsea Council and Hammersmith & Fulham Council have already approved the plans.
