ELECTRONICS retailer Dixons yesterday agreed the sale of Webhallen, the Swedish based retailer which specialises in media and games, to Norwegian ecommerce firm Komplett.

Webhallen is a subsidiary of Dixons’ struggling Pixmania business, which the firm is currently restructuring having closed all of its high-street stores earlier this year.

The sale is expected to net Dixons around £14m.

“We continue to explore ways to put Pixmania in a better strategic position,” Dixons’ boss Sebastian James said yesterday.

“Following a material reorganisation of the business earlier this year, I am pleased that we can confirm another small but significant step in that process today with the disposal of the Webhallen operation in Sweden.”
