Divergence in UK housing market

The UK housing market is increasingly “two tier”, with affluent markets on the rise and cheap areas continuing to slump. The most expensive 20 per cent of areas saw house prices increase by 3.4 per cent over the year, whilst the cheapest fifth declined by 5.1 per cent, according to a survey by Chesterton Humberts and the Centre for Economic and Business Research (CEBR).
