Disney’s boss to stay longer

Walt Disney’s boss Bob Iger is to stay at the firm for a further 15 months, allowing him to remain both CEO and chairman of the media giant until mid-2016. Iger, 62, had planned to step down as CEO on 1 April 2015, and assume the single role as executive chairman through the end of his existing contract on 30 June 2016. Since taking over as boss in 2005, Iger has overseen deals for Pixar and Marvel as well as last year’s purchase of Star Wars creator Lucasfilm.
