INVESTMENT banking search and selection firm Sammons Associates hosted a cosy dinner at Prism restaurant in the City on Tuesday evening for lucky winners of the 15th Annual Heads of Research Survey awards.
The top trophies were scooped by the trio of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s Mark Iannotti who won head of research in the large cap market, Gareth Hunt from Canaccord Genuity who took the small/mid cap trophy and Andy Smith from securities house Sberbank CIB who won the EMEA gong. Oil analyst-turned author Michael Crawshaw was also in attendance. However, he was double-booked – later making an appearance at his book launch at the London Capital Club. It was a case of too many events in one night, as The Capitalist hears that social butterfly Crawshaw ended the evening in Luton of all places, having nodded off on the train.
