GLOBAL accountancy giant Deloitte has promoted 32 staff to its partnership in the UK, across audit, tax, consulting and corporate finance.
The move comes in addition to the creation of 30 new partners since the start of the year following developments to the business, including the acquisition of commercial property agent Drivers Jonas. Deloitte chairman John Connolly said: “Even in tough market conditions it is important that we recognise and reward the people who have committed their careers to Deloitte.”
Deloitte saw revenues plunge 4.7 per cent to $26.1bn (£17.8bn) last year during a tough time for the accounting world. But the firm continued to invest in recruitment, adding 4,000 staff worldwide to take its total headcount to 169,000 at the end of 2009.
