Debenhams store in makeover

Debenhams’ flagship store on Oxford Street is to have a “‘kinetic facade” with thousands of suspended aluminium panels that will seem to move with the wind as part of the £40m revamp that is currently underway. The plans, revealed to analysts last week are being masterminded by Californian artist and architect Ned Kahn and will be the first time the store’s exterior is revamped in its 41-year history. The refurbishment will complete in November.
