Deals are back as float values pass 2012 total

MORE money was raised through London IPOs during the first three months of this year than in the whole of 2012, according to a report released today.

Four UK firms made their main market debut in the first quarter of 2013, raising £1.24bn. Insurer Esure led the pack, scooping up £604m of investor cash. Three other issues – cable maker HellermannTyton, housebuilder Crest Nicholson, and estate agency Countrywide – each took just over £200m from their flotations.
