Data breaches hit most firms

NINE out of 10 companies have suffered some form of data security breach in the last year, according figures released today by the government.

There has been a 50 per cent rise in breaches over the last year, with the majority of businesses seeing at least one cyber attack from an unauthorised outsider during the last twelve months.

The Technology Strategy Board is offering small firms vouchers to help manage the risk of losing data.
