Cudicini badly hurt in motorbike smash

TOTTENHAM goalkeeper Carlo Cudicini is fighting to save his career after suffering &ldquo;potentially life-changing injuries&rdquo; in a serious motorbike crash yesterday.<br /><br />The 36-year-old shot-stopper was taken to hospital after his BMW superbike was involved in a smash with a Ford Fiesta in Walthamstow, at around 10.30am.<br /><br />Cudicini fractured both of his wrists and injured his pelvis in the accident and was undergoing tests last night, under the supervision of Spurs&rsquo; medical staff, to determine the extent of his injuries.<br /><br />A club statement read: &ldquo;Carlo Cudicini has fractured his wrists and injured his pelvis after being involved in a road accident this morning.<br /><br />&ldquo;The 36-year-old Italian goalkeeper has been admitted to hospital and undergone scans under the supervision of club medical staff.&rdquo;<br /><br />Cudicini joined Spurs from Chelsea in January and has made eight appearances as understudy to Heurelho Gomes.<br /><br />A Metropolitan Police spokesperson confirmed: &ldquo;A 36-year-old male suffered injuries described by the London Ambulance Service as possibly life-changing and was taken to an east London hospital for further assessment and treatment. No arrests have been made.&rdquo;<br /><br />The female driver and child passenger in the Fiesta escaped unhurt.
