Christian Redman has joined the investment banking group’s wealth management division, Collins Stewart Wealth Management, as an associate director.
Redman joins from Barclays Wealth, where he was responsible for managing over £450m on behalf of private clients across multiple asset classes. He has worked at Gerrard (now part of Barclays Wealth) since 1986, as a senior investment manager and divisional director.
The investment bank, which earlier this week sold a 50.1 per cent stake in the business to Banco Espirito Santo, one of Portugal’s largest banks, has hired Richard Crawley as director of corporate broking.
Crawley joins from Oriel Securities, where he was head of corporate finance and corporate broking. He also previously worked as director of equity capital markets at Credit Suisse and in corporate broking at the Charterhouse Group.
Bank of America Merrill Lynch
The investment bank has appointed Nicholas Jefcoat and Christoph Lomb as senior corporate bankers in its Frankfurt team.
Jefcoat was formerly at Barclays Capital for five years, where he was the senior relationship banker responsible for the company’s business in bonds, loans, equity derivatives and risk management, as well as M&A and equity financing.
Lomb joins from Société Générale in Frankfurt, where he was head of German corporate and investment banking.

The alternative investment boutique has hired Kirsty Saxby from Lloyds Banking Group as its new human resources director.
Saxby has been at Lloyds since 1999, most recently as senior HR business partner, responsible for the firm’s HR strategy and processes in the savings, investment and protection department.
The law firm has appointed Peter Roberts as a partner in its global energy team in London.
Roberts joins from Centrica Energy, where he has held the position of general counsel since 2007. Prior to that, he was a partner at Jones Day.
