IMS Group
The regulatory compliance provider has strengthened its consultancy offering following the acquisition of compliance consultancy MMS in February. Jonathan Mott joins as a consultant from the Financial Services Authority to work with a range of companies in the asset management and securities sector, including hedge fund managers and private equity firms. In addition, Oksana Selezneva and Claire Carpenter join the firm as compliance consultants.

Heidrich & Struggles
The executive search firm has made two appointments in its industrial division. Claire Skinner joins to lead the new Energy, Infrastructure and Sustainability Practice, while Alex Ross joins to focus on Support Services, Infrastructure, Transportation and Building Materials.

Adam & Company
The Scottish private bank has appointed Michael Gifford as investment director. Gifford joins with 27 years’ experience of investment management, having worked most recently for Old Mutual, F&C and Canada Life.

The PBN Company
David Herbert, formerly of ING and Barings, has joined The PBN Company as executive chairman, where he will lead the communications firm’s board of directors and advise its clients in Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan. The PBN Company has also appointed George Oganov, an entrepreneur and adviser to Basic Element owner Oleg Deripaska, and Bernard Sucher, the founder of investment bank Troika Dialog and former chairman of Alfa Capital, to its board of directors.

DWF
The business law firm has launched a family practice in London, to be led by family lawyer Mary-Ann Wright, working with associate Christina Coker, solicitor Gemma Richardson and senior legal advisor Adella Thomas. The team will cover cases across the full spectrum of family law issues.

Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer
The international law firm has appointed partner Teresa Ko, chairman of the Listing Committee of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange, to the new role of chairman of the firm’s China practice. At the same time, Ko has been elected to Freshfields’ global Partnership Council. In addition, both London partner Jenny Connolly and Beijing corporate partner Jack Wang will relocate to Freshfield’s Shanghai office, while corporate partner Melissa Thomas will move from Shanghai to Beijing.
