The European credit investment manager has hired Robert Burns (pictured) as director for sales and marketing, based in London. Burns has more than 20 years’ experience in sales. He joins the firm from Citigroup, where he was director of structured product sales, and has worked previously at Lehman Brothers in Europe, where he was executive director of private investment, RBS, RBC Capital Markets and Bear Stearns.
The law firm has appointed Duncan Hubbard as a real estate partner in its London office on the banking practice. He joins the firm from Nabarro, where he has been a partner since 2005. He specialises in property finance and has advised on some of the largest UK real estate transactions including the acquisition of the Gherkin.
The specialist accountancy and professional services providers to the hedge fund, private equity and corporate finance industries has hired Sara Selvarajah to its tax team.
She will assist the firm’s client base on all aspects of tax. Selvarajah has worked in tax for 20 years, with stints at Citigroup and Salomon Brothers. She is also a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and a member of the Chartered Institute of Tax.
Sarah Bewley has joined Quilter as collectives research analyst, reporting to Ben Mountain, head of investment fund research, in London. She has worked in a similar role for OBSR and began her career in Canada at TD Canada Trust and Manulife.

The investment manager has appointed James Findlay as a non-executive director. He is chief executive of Findlay Park Partners and began his City career with Hoare Govett. He has been a fund manager and director of Foreign & Colonial Management.
The early-stage incubator of private companies has hired Joy Ighade as a compliance analyst. She will join Tom Powell, who joined the firm from Matrix, to offer a virtual chief operating officer service. She has previously worked as a compliance consultant at a leading hedge fund house and at Sarasin & Partners and HSBC.
