The asset management firm has appointed Robert Thorpe as head of retail. He was most recently head of UK retail at Cazenove Capital. Thorpe has previously held senior roles at Newton/Mellon Global Investments, and at JP Morgan Asset Management.

Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty
Paul Crawford has been appointed senior cargo underwriter at the insurance firm. He joins from ACE European Group – Marine, where he was senior cargo underwriter. Crawford has over 30 years’ experience in the field, and has also held positions at RSA and Nasco Insurance Brokers.

Berkshire Capital Securities
The boutique investment bank has appointed John Humphrey as managing director and Robert Glauerdt as director in its London office. Humphrey joins from UBS Investment Bank, where he was managing director in its global financial institutions group. Glauerdt was formerly executive director of the global financial institutions group at UBS Investment Bank.

GSC Solicitors
The law firm has promoted David Nathan to partner in its corporate practice. He specialises in company commercial law, and joined GSC Solicitors in 2005 after qualifying as a solicitor in 2001.

Experian
The information services company has announced two appointments to its consumer information business. Andy Wills joins as director of data. He has previously held senior roles at Barclaycard, Capital One Bank, and Ernst & Young. Mark Hodgkinson joins as director of product from Citibank, where he was programme director. He was also previously head of change at Aviva.

Linklaters
The law firm has announced that Narayan Iyer is rejoining its India practice. He arrives from Talwar Thakore & Associates, and originally joined Linklaters as a trainee in 1996. He became a founding member of its India practice in 2007.

IPsoft
The IT services firm has appointed Crosbie Burns as its UK managing director. He has previously held senior roles at ServiceSource and PeopleSoft.
