The law firm has announced the appointment of Dr Edward Swan as a partner. Swan specialises in financial services and energy law, and was formerly a professor in financial services law at University College London. He was most recently a partner at the London office of Brown Rudnick, and later managing director at IX Power.

Heartwood Investment
Nick Hendy has been appointed intermediary client director for the company’s investment management division. Hendy joins from Aviva Investors, where he was an investment sales manager. He has previously worked at Standard Life and AXA.

Allfunds Bank
The bank has recruited Stephen Mohan to head its UK growth plans. Mohan will report to chief commercial officer Gianluca Renzini. He has previously held senior roles at Bank of New York, RBS, M&G and most recently at Cofunds.

Osborne Clarke
The law firm has announced the appointment of three new partners. William Gay joined the firm’s real estate practice in 2004, and specialises in development of industrial space warehousing. Emily Jones is a specialist technology and privacy lawyer, and qualified with the firm in 2004. Charlie Wedin, who joins the commercial disputes team, previously worked in-house at Southby’s.

HarbourVest Global Private Equity
Alan Hodson has joined the closed-end investment company as non-executive director. Hodson is chairman of Blackrock Commodities Income Investment Trust and a director at JP Morgan Elect. He was previously global head of equities at Rowe and Pitman, and a member of UBS Investment Bank’s executive committee.

Kingsley Napley
Jane Keir has been appointed senior partner at the law firm. She was previously head of its family law practice, having joined the firm in 1989.

London Capital Group
The financial services company has announced the appointment of Kevin Ashby as chief commercial officer. He has previously held a number of senior roles, including chairman and chief executive of Saxo Bank Asia Pacific; chairman of Velsys; and IT partner and chief information officer at KPMG.

New West End Company
The business improvement company has appointed Sir Peter Rogers as chairman. He is a former chief executive of Westminster City Council and the London Development Agency.
