Kennedys
The law firm has announced the appointment of Graeme Baird as partner in its energy insurance practice. Baird has over 25 years’ experience handling major insurance claims, particularly in the energy sector. He joins Kennedys from Clyde, where he was partner in its energy and construction division.

KPMG
The professional services firm has appointed Michael Robinson UK head of management consulting. Robinson joined the firm as a partner in 2005, and most recently led its financial services management consulting practice.

Metro Bank
James Baughan will join the bank as regional director for the Home Counties and west of London. He was previously divisional head of public finance and infrastructure at Santander. Prior to this, he held various roles at RBS, including head of regional operations.

CBRE
The real estate services firm has appointed Steve Williamson head of debt origination in its real estate finance division. He joins from Deutsche Bank’s commercial real estate finance team, where he was most recently head of UK origination.

SNR Denton
The law firm has announced the appointment of Sylvain Dhennin as partner in its banking and finance practice. He joins from the London office of French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel. He has also held senior roles at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, and in JP Morgan’s debt capital markets transaction group.

JP Morgan Private Bank
Steve Griffiths will join the private bank as head of wealth advisory UK. Griffiths was most recently global head of tax and wealth structuring at Coutts. Prior to that, he was head of wealth planning at Credit Suisse, and has held senior roles at PwC and UBS.

Cambridge and Counties
The bank, which specialises in small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), has announced the appointment of Carl Ashley as business development manager. Ashley has over 27 years’ experience in the SME banking sector. He joins from Yorkshire Bank, where he led its team of business and private managers.

Towry
Chris Down has joined the investment management advisory firm as a wealth adviser. Down has worked in the financial sector for over 30 years, most recently as senior private investment manager at RBS.
