The bank has announced the appointment of Payman Jassim as a director in its trade and working capital transaction management team. Jassim joins from JP Morgan, where he was a structured trade adviser. Prior to this, he was a trade finance lawyer with RBS, SNR Denton, and White & Case.

Bearings Asset Management
The investment management firm has appointed Sophie Dupre head of organisational risk. Dupre joins from Schroders, where she was head of its investment risk framework, having previously held the position of operational risk manager. Prior to that, she held various roles in risk control at Citigroup, Banque Nationale de Paris and Societe Generale.

EC Harris
Richard Bowker will join the built asset consultancy firm as senior adviser in its infrastructure team. He was most recently chief executive of Etihad Rail. He was also previously chief executive of National Rail and commercial director at Virgin.

Pelham Bell Pottinger
The financial and corporate communications division has announced the appointment of Gavin Davis as managing director. Davis has over 15 years’ financial communications experience, and joined Pelham in 2005.

Brown Rudnick
Tim Matthews has joined the law firm as partner in its corporate practice. He began his career in Simmons & Simmons’s corporate finance division, before moving to Clyde. He was most recently a partner at Wilmer Hale.

Shawbrook Bank
James Blower will join the bank as director of savings. He joins from Clydesdale Bank, where he was managing director. Prior to that, he was head of small and medium business for Barclays Wealth. He has also held various roles within Barclays Stockbrokers.

Rowan Dartington
The wealth management firm has appointed Richard Campbell stockbroker. He will have responsibility for developing new business. Campbell joins from stockbrokers HB Markets, and has also held various roles at BDO and Icap.

Robert Urtheil will join the electronic trading platform as head of its European and Asian business. Urtheil joins from Oliver Wyman, where he was partner and global head of the firm’s market infrastructure practice. He previously spent ten years at Deutsche Borse, most recently as head of market development.
