The law firm has announced the appointment of Simon Goldring as head of private wealth. He joins from RadcliffesLeBrasseur, where he has been a partner since 2008, and the law firm’s head of tax and private clients since 2009.

FRP Advisory
Geoff Carton-Kelly and Tony Wright have joined the advisory firm as partners in its London office. Carton-Kelly has over 29 years’ experience in business advisory and restructuring, and joins from Baker Tilly. Wright, who qualified as an accountant in 1999 and has worked in business advisory and restructuring since, also joins from Baker Tilly.

The financial services firm has appointed Stan Beckers as chief executive in its investment management division. Beckers was most recently managing director and co-head of BlackRock Solutions for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He has previously held senior roles at WestLB Asset Management and Barclays Global Investors.

City Financial
Tim Short has joined the financial investment company as chief risk officer. He has previously held senior risk and fund management roles at Rivercrest Capital, M&G Investments, and Societe Generale Asset Management.

The bank has announced the appointment of Ronan Walsh as director for the Channel Islands. He joins from HSBC, where he was responsible for managing its local private client base in Jersey. Prior to that, he was private banking relationship manager at AIB Bank.

Better Capital
The private equity fund has made four new hires. Peter Soliman joins as a legal consultant from Pinsent Masons. Ben Newton and Richard Leighton join the transacting team from Lincoln International and Deloitte respectively. Sei Moon, a recent MBA graduate, has been appointed as an analyst.

Brown Shipley
Mike Hudson has been appointed as head of risk at the private bank. He has over 20 years’ management experience in banking and financial services, and joins from Metro Bank, where he was chief risk officer.

The internet, hosting and communications company has hired Colin Bell as director of cloud and hosting services. He was formerly sales director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at Rackspace, and managing director at NetBenefit.
