Mayer Brown
The law firm has announced the appointment of Sandy Bhogal as head of its tax group. Bhogal has extensive experience in corporate tax planning, and joined Mayer Brown eight years ago from Ernst & Young, where he was a manager focusing on tax issues.

Carmignac Gestion
The asset management firm has announced two new hires. Vincent Aguado, who joins as a trader, was formerly vice president of fixed income sales at JP Morgan. He previously worked on government and covered bonds at Credit Agricole. Pierre-Edouard Bonenfant, who also joins as a trader, was previously a derivatives structurer within the systematic strategies team at THEAM.

Deloitte
The business advisory firm has appointed Craig Turnbull as partner in its data analytics team. Prior to joining Deloitte in 2008, Turnbull was a director in Ernst & Young’s data analytics division.

Armstrong Investment Managers
Vincent Tournant will join the investment management firm as partner and chief operating officer. He was previously global head of origination and structuring at Newedge Prime Brokerage. Prior to Newedge, Vincent spent four years at MATIF SA in Paris.

RPC
Jonathan Cary will join the City law firm as partner in its banking and financial litigation team. Cary joins from Shearman & Sterling, where he specialised in financial litigation. He was previously at Herbert Smith, where he handled financial and commercial disputes.

Amundi
The asset management firm has appointed Bernard de Wit director of support and business development. De Wit joins from Credit Agricole, where he was financial director in its international retail banking team. He has previously held positions at KPMG Peat Marwick and Fortis.

Trowers & Hamlins
The law firm has appointed Alex Burton partner in its dispute resolution and litigation division. Burton joins from Reed Smith, where he was partner in its EME commercial disputes group, working in financial services, professional liability and aviation.

Mill Group
Tom Grey will join the real estate fund and asset management firm as property director. He was most recently head of commercial operations at Dorchester Real Estate Asset Management.
