Alvarez & Marsal Taxand UK

The tax advisory firm has appointed two new managing directors. Charles Beer joins from KPMG, where he was a partner and led its real estate tax practice. He has over 30 years’ experience in the industry. Jonathan Hornby (pictured) is promoted to managing director after serving as a senior director at Alvarez & Marsal.

Charles Stanley Direct

The online brokerage has appointed Rob Morgan as pensions and investment analyst. He joins from Hargreaves Lansdown, where he was most recently head of venture capital trust research. Morgan joined Hargreaves Lansdown in 1999, and worked variously as a financial adviser and an investment analyst specialising in fund research.

Rowan Dartington Signature

The wealth management firm has appointed Steve Bridges as business development manager. He joins from The Premier Group, where he promoted investment products in the South East. Bridges has also held roles at Butterfield Private Bank and Mayfair Capital Partners.

Lewis Silkin

The law firm has announced the promotion of Rebecca Peedell to partner. She was previously a senior associate in Lewis Silkin’s employment, reward and immigration team, and has particular experience advising other law firms and professional services businesses.

Managing Partners Limited

The boutique fund management firm has appointed Benjamin Lim as its business development director for Asia. He joins from Allianz Global Investors, where he was previously chief marketing officer for Asia. Lim has over 15 years’ experience in asset management, and has also held roles at Aviva Investors, Aberdeen Asset Management, and Fidelity Investments.

DC Advisory

The corporate finance advisory firm has appointed Tobias Gewolker as executive director in its infrastructure team. He joins from Barclays Capital, and has 13 years’ experience in the corporate finance industry. DC Advisory’s infrastructure team was established by Sergio Ronga a year ago.

Winckworth Sherwood

The law firm has announced the election of John Rees as senior partner and Richard Tinham as finance partner. Rees replaces Keith Jenkins. Tinham replaces Andrew Murray, who has been finance partner since 1996. In addition, Roger Fitton has been re-elected managing partner of the firm.

Geo Networks

The fibre network solutions firm has appointed Mike Ainger as chief strategy officer and Graham Leach as chief operating officer. Ainger joined Geo in 2007, and was most recently chief operating officer. Leach joins from FibreSpeed, and has also held roles in the military, at Racal, Serco, and Peek Traffic.
