The professional services firm has appointed Gavin Johnson as a partner in its fraud investigation and disputes services division, where he will lead its new transaction pricing support team. He was most recently at Alvarez & Marsal, where he was a senior director.

BlackRock
Daniel Whitestone has joined the asset management firm as a director in its UK small/mid cap equities team. He was most recently at UBS, where he was head of its UK small/mid cap sales desk. Prior to that, he worked as a strategy consultant at Accenture.

Industry Funds Management
The funds management company has appointed Nicolas Villen as an external senior adviser. He joins from Ferrovial, where he held various roles, including chief financial officer. He was previously chief executive of Smith Kline & French.

Brooks Macdonald
The asset management firm has formed a business development team with two new hires. Richard Hughes has been appointed head of business development, and joins from BNP Paribas. Chris Donoghue joins as senior business development manager. He was most recently a head of investment at HSBC Private Bank.

TMF Group
Jeremy Bennett has joined the business services company as head of reward. He was most recently at Barclays, where he was senior reward manager within its retail and business bank functions team. Prior to that, he spent three years at 3i, where he advised on reward.

EC3 Legal
The City law firm has announced the appointment of Matthew White to lead its new real estate practice. White specialises in high value commercial leasing deals for landlords and tenants. He joins from Prettys Solicitors, where he led its real estate team.

Money Advice Trust
Mike Barley has been appointed chair designate at the national debt advice charity. He joined the board in 2010 and currently chairs the charity’s audit committee. He is a former chief executive of commercial lending at Close Brothers, and has held senior roles at Abbey National and Barclays Bank.
