The technology company has announced the appointment of David Walker (right) as head of property. He joins from Pearl and Coutts, where he was head of commercial lettings. Prior to that, he was a partner at Adam Selby, and was on the executive board at MWB Business Exchange.

HSBC
The bank has appointed Omar Faruqui to lead its UK financial sponsor team. Faruqui was previously a managing director at Deutsche Bank.

Barnett Waddingham
Gordon Banks has joined the self-invested personal pension (Sipp) company as a relationship manager. He was most recently at Sipp Investment Platform, where he was operations director. Prior to that, he was head of investment development at Suffolk Life.

Amundi
The asset management firm has made two senior hires. Mark Miller joins as head of UK institutional from Blackstone Alternative Asset Management. He was previously head of UK institutional at Fidelity. Jerry Devlin has been appointed head of UK distribution, and was most recently head of UK wholesale sales at Macquarie.

DeVere Group
Peter Hobbs has joined the financial advisory company’s board as a non-executive director. He is a former director at Generali Group.

Thomas Miller Investment
The investment management firm has hired Matthew Lonsdale as head of intermediary business development. He was previously head of business development at Psigma Investment Management.

Rethink
Steve Wright has been appointed chief executive at the recruitment company. He was most recently director of finance and operations at RP International.

Intermediate Capital Group
The investment and asset management firm has made two new hires. Brian Spenner and Seth Katzenstein both join as managing directors. Spenner was previously at Blackstone; Katzenstein joins from Black Diamond Capital Management.
