Sberbank CIB
The corporate and investment banking division of Sberbank Group has announced the appointment of Steven Weller as head of FX trading and a managing director. He previously worked at Barclays Capital, where he spent over four years as head of foreign exchange for the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to that, he worked as an executive director at Lehman Brothers.

Berwin Leighton Paisner
The law firm has made two senior promotions. Current head of corporate finance David Collins will become corporate departmental managing partner. He has been a partner at the firm since 1996. Corporate partner David Barnes has been promoted to head of corporate finance. Barnes joined BLP in 2012 from Linklaters, where he was most recently global corporate head.

Zoopla Property Group
The company behind zoopla.co.uk and primelocation.com has announced the appointment of Stephen Morana as chief financial officer. Morana has nearly 20 years’ financial experience. He previously worked at Betfair, as chief financial officer between 2006 and 2012, and as interim chief executive for the past year.

Freeth Cartwright
Healthcare lawyer James Larmour has joined the law firm as a partner. He was most recently at Hogan Lovells, where he was a partner in its infrastructure and project finance team.

DeVere
The financial advisory firm has announced two internal promotions. Colm Donnelly, currently UK compliance manager, has been appointed European head of compliance and regulatory policy. Donnelly has over 27 years’ industry experience, and has previously held senior positions at Deloitte and KPMG. Nigel Smith, who has been promoted to European head of technical services, joined the firm in 2011.

Duncan Lawrie Private Bank
Robert Armstrong has been appointed non-executive director at the private bank. He has held a number of senior roles in banking, including global head of market risk at Rabobank, group market risk director at Abbey National, and group market risk director at Lloyds.

Pramerica Real Estate Investors
The real estate investment management firm has appointed Morgan Laughlin as head of its Asia business. He joins from Grosvenor Fund Management, where he was most recently a regional director. He has previously worked at RBS as head of portfolio, and at Deutsche Bank, where he led its Asia real estate team.
