The accountancy and business advisory firm has announced the appointment of Phil Cliftlands as an audit partner. He was most recently national head of social housing at PwC, and has previously worked with the London G15.

The small-cap financial advisory and brokerage firm has announced three new hires. Russell Jackson and Steve Asfour both join the market making team from Fox Davies Capital, where Jackson was a head of market making and Asfour head of sales trading. David Loudon, who has been appointed sales trader, was previously a senior sales trader at N+1 Singer Capital.

Helen Beck has joined the business advisory firm as a partner in its compensation and benefits practice. She was previously at Kepler, where she led its financial services practice. Prior to that, she managed McLagan’s consulting business.

The sell-side mergers and acquisitions advisory firm has appointed Nick Jones as a senior adviser in its technology, media and telecoms division. Jones has over 20 years’ business experience, and most recently worked at Clearwater, where he has been a partner for the past six years.

Rule Financial
The advisory, business consulting, IT and software services firm has announced the appointment of Neil Hookway as principal consultant in its domain group. Hookway has previously held consulting roles at Lloyds Bank, Deutsche Bank, and RBS.

Ropes & Gray
Mark Wesseldine has joined the law firm as a finance partner. He was most recently a partner in the corporate group at Fried Frank. Prior to that, he was a partner at Allen & Overy.

Now: Pensions
The pensions company has made two senior appointments. Ross Martin and Martin Olive both join the company as national partnership managers. Martin was previously a sales development manager at Aviva / Norwich Union. Olive was most recently national accounts director at Partnership.

Sidley Austin
Funds lawyer Stephen Ross has been appointed a partner at the law firm, where he will co-head the London Investment Funds group, part of its global investment funds practice. Ross was most recently group general counsel at Man Group.

Boost ETP
Robert Dickson has joined the sales team at the exchange-traded products firm. He has 26 years’ equity and investment market experience, and was previously a sales trader and director at Canaccord.
