The asset management firm has announced the appointment of Ross Long as chief legal officer. Long has nearly 30 years’ experience in the law and finance industries, including more than 15 years as group counsel at the CLSA Group.

The Central Delivery Body
Baroness Margaret McDonagh has been appointed as chairman of new firm, the Central Delivery Body. The firm aims to deliver consumer engagement during the roll out of smart meters. McDonagh spent several years as a non-executive director at Standard Life and TBI.

Jones Day
Johan Kleyn has joined the law firm’s Amsterdam office as a mergers and acquisitions partner. He was previously at Allen & Overy.

Hardy Underwriting
The underwriting company has announced the appointment of James Cunnington as head of reinsurance, where he will be responsible for coordinating reinsurance arrangements. He was most recently at Kiln, where he was its outwards reinsurance manager.

Marriott Harrison
The law firm has hired two new corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions partners. Tim Bee joins from Field Fisher Waterhouse. Andrew Wigfall was previously at Nabarro.

SS&C Technologies
Former PwC market leader Timothy Reilly has joined the software firm as a senior vice president.
