Lloyds Bank
The bank’s commercial banking division has appointed Karin Cook chief operating officer. She joins from HSBC, where she was most recently global chief operating officer for its private bank. Cook has over 20 years’ experience in the industry, and has also held roles at Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley.

Saffery Champness
The accountancy firm has appointed Mick Downs as a consultant in its London-based landed estates and rural business group. He was most recently a technical specialist at HMRC, with responsibility for inheritance tax reliefs for National Heritage property. Downs retired from HMRC last year, after almost 20 years working there.

BTIG
The financial services firm has appointed two sales traders to its London office. Margie Sadleir joins as a senior emerging markets sales trader from CA Cheuvreux, where she helped launch its emerging markets business. Daniel Muller joins as a pan European sales trader from RBS, where he was an equity sales trader for 16 years. Muller has also held roles at BNP Paribas and SG Warburg.

Ashurst
The law firm has appointed Denis Fosselard as a partner in its European competition team. He joins from Legance Studio Legale Associato, where he was head of its antitrust practice. Fosselard was also previously a partner at Gianni, Origoni, Grippo & Partners.

BNP Paribas Real Estate
Steven Skinner has been appointed as a director in the real estate investment firm’s central London investment team. He joins from Savills, where he primarily acted on behalf of institutional clients in London property transactions.

Carmignac Gestion
The asset management firm has appointed Nick Casey as UK sales manager. He joins from Aviva, where he has worked for the last 22 years. Casey most recently worked for Aviva Investors in London, where he specialised in independent financial adviser distribution.

Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy
The law firm has appointed Chris Evans as a partner in its London-based global litigaiton and arbitration group. He joins from Norton Rose, where he was a financial services regulatory litigation lawyer. Evans specialises in representing financial institutions in contentious regulatory proceedings.
