The commercial real estate services firm has announced the appointment of Ian Thompson as a partner in its hotel valuation and advisory team. He was previously at GVA, where he led its hotel valuation team. Prior to that, he worked at Jones Lang LaSalle Hotels.

Sheffield Haworth
James Isaacs has joined the recruitment firm as managing director and global head of retail financial services. He was most recently at Wrightson Wood.

Pioneer Investments
The asset management firm has recruited two senior research analysts. Martin Dolan previously covered European consumer stocks at Espirito Santo Investment Bank. Michael Morris joins from JP Morgan Cazenove, where he was head of construction and building materials.

TMF Group
The business services company has appointed Deborah Williams as global head of human resources and payroll. She joins from CGO, where she was director of global payroll. Prior to that, she was director of multinational payroll and offshore delivery at Logica, where she developed its multinational payroll proposition.

Thornburg Investment Management
The asset management firm has appointed two new managing directors to its London office. Chris Elsmark joins from Copthall Partners, where he was a senior adviser. He has previously held senior roles at Scottish Widows Investment Partnerships, BNP Paribas Investment Partners, and T Rowe Price Group. Karim Elfar joins from Davis Advisors, where he was a managing director and head of international. Prior to that, he worked at Merril Lynch in Miami and New York.

Westhouse Securities
Andrew Proctor has been appointed finance director at the brokerage. He was most recently chief financial officer at N+1 Singer.

The Pensions Trust
The occupational pensions fund has recruited David Lane as chief finance officer. Lane was previously chief finance officer at Minster Law. Prior to that, he was divisional finance and commercial director at NG Bailey.
