The private wealth management firm has announced the appointment of Charles van der Merwe as head of its wealth outsourcing business. He has over 12 years’ experience, and joins from Pershing, where he was chief executive in its UK office.

Lewis Silkin
The City law firm has appointed Adam Glass as a partner in its media, brands and technology team. He was most recently at Davenport Lyons, where he was a partner and head of litigation and intellectual property.

Aon Hewitt
Olivier Hamelle has joined the human resources solutions firm as director of employee engagement consulting in France, Switzerland and the UK. He was previously a director at Kenexa, where he led its employee engagement survey operations.

Argonaut Capital Partners
The asset management firm has announced the appointment of George Adam as regional sales manager. He joins from Cazenove Capital Management, where he was a discretionary sales manager. He has previously held senior roles at Aegon Asset Management, RBS, Standard Life Investments and F&C Investments.

RPC
Lambros Kilaniotis has been appointed as counsel at the City law firm. He was most recently at PwC Legal, where he was a director. Prior to that, he was a senior associate at Herbert Smith. He has previously worked on secondment in the competition law team at The Coca-Cola Company.

Salamander Energy
The oil and gas company has appointed Nick Ingrassia as corporate development director. He joins from Valiant Petroleum, where he was corporate development manager.

State Street
Michael W Bell has been appointed executive vice president, chief financial officer, and member of the management committee at the financial services firm. Bell has almost 30 years’ financial services experience, and was most recently chief financial officer at Manulife Financial in Toronto. He previously held senior roles at Cigna.
