Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management
Stephen Massey has been appointed head of UK wealth management at the firm. Massey is formally principal and founder of Eden Financial.

The European investment and private bank has made three new hires for its banking operations in London. Alexis Chardigny, Alexis Eman, and Stefano Novarini all join from Morgan Stanley. Chardigny has been appointed head of international clients and was formerly executive director at Morgan Stanley Private Wealth Management. Eman joins as an associate director after 10 years at Morgan Stanley. Novarini has previously held various roles at Standard & Poor’s, SAP, and Morgan Stanley.

Mizuho International
The securities and investment banking arm of Mizuho Financial Group has announced the appointment of Mark Wheatcroft as head of European primary debt markets and a member of its executive committee. Wheatcroft has over 20 years’ experience, and was most recently head of the Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) debt syndicate at UBS.

Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management
Mitch Matharu has joined the firm as head of strategic lending. Matharu previously worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was head of Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa coverage – and EMEA emerging markets sales – in its fixed income, currencies and commodities division.

The asset management firm has recruited David Riley as head of credit strategy. Riley was most recently at Fitch Ratings, where he led its global sovereign and supranational financial institutions group.

Bertrand Senechal has been appointed capital markets partner in the law firm’s Paris office. He joins from Shearman & Sterling, where he has been a partner since 2005.

The insurance company has appointed Dermot O’Donohoe as group chief executive officer. O’Donohoe has over 25 years’ insurance experience, and is currently chief executive of Torus International.
