The investment bank and brokerage firm has hired Adam Smallman as head of content. He joins from Informa, where he was head of content for Lloyd’s List Group.

Baker Tilly
The business advisory firm has announced the appointment of Sarah Farrow as an associate director in its private client team. She has over 13 years’ experience in private client tax and was previously at New Quadrant Partners. Prior to that, she held various roles at HBOS and KPMG.

Carmignac Gestion
Maxime Carmignac has been appointed managing director at the asset management firm. She has previously worked as a consultant for McKinsey, and as a financial analyst at Lazard Freres and Morgan Stanley.

Experian
The information services company has recruited Tom Blacksell as managing director of its marketing services business. Blacksell joins from Capgemini, where he was chief executive of UK consulting.

Withers
Matthew Roazen has joined the law firm as a consultant in its commercial litigation practice group. He is US-qualified, and has worked as in-house counsel for Alfa Bank, TNK-BP and Sun Group. He has also worked in the Moscow teams at Akin Gump and LeBoeuf Lamb.

ea Consulting Group
The recruitment and consulting company has announced the appointment of Mike Fisher as head of its executive interims division. Fisher was most recently head of the financial services practice at Ranstad Interim executives.

Freshfields
The law firm has hired Arun Balasubramanian as co-head of its India group. He was previously a partner at Linklaters in Singapore, where he was actively involved in its India capital markets practice. Prior to that, he worked at Cravath, Swaine & Moore in New York, Hong Kong and London.

Pulsant
Nigel Shaw has been appointed chief operating officer at the technology company. He joins from Hewlett-Packard, where he held various leadership roles, most recently as managing director and vice president of HP Defence UK.
