The alternative investment firm has announced the appointment of Robert Berle as chief executive. Berle has over 30 years’ experience in investment and corporate banking. He has previously held senior roles at Rothschild, Barclays de Zoete Wedd, and JP Morgan.

PwC
Paul Woods will join the professional services firm as a manager in its defined contribution pensions consulting practice. He joins from Towers Watson, where he held a number of specialist roles advising corporates and trustees on their investment strategies.

Metro Bank
The bank has announced the appointment of Andrew Richards as regional retail banking director. He joins from TD Bank, where he was senior vice president of retail banking. He has previously held senior positions at Commerce Bank.

Aviva Investors
The asset management firm has appointed James Tarry fund manager for real estate debt in its real estate team. Tarry has over ten years’ experience in debt financing and investing, and was most recently co-head of debt investment at Cordea Savills. Prior to that, he worked in structured finance at Citigroup, Eurohypo and Deutsche Bank.

Royal London
The mutual life and pensions company has announced the appointment of Catherine Read as head of audit. Read joins from PwC, where she was a director in its insurance and investment management risk assurance division. She has also worked in internal audit at Barclays Capital.

Natixis
The corporate and investment bank has appointed Pierre-Henri Denain head of its Europe, Middle East and Asia team. He has previously held senior positions in several financial institutions, including as head of derivatives sales at CDC Ixis. He was most recently managing director of Citigroup’s fixed-income division.

FRP Advisory
The restructuring and recovery firm has appointed Martyn Rickels as director of its Manchester office. Rickels joins from Baker Tilly, where he was associate director for restructuring and recovery.

NOW: Pensions
Fiona Kelley will join the pensions company as head of legal. She joins from IFG/James Hay Partnership, and has previously worked at AGF Insurance and Barclaycard.
