Chinese inflation eases

Consumer price inflation in China eased in March, figures from the National Bureau of Statistics showed yesterday. The consumer price index grew 2.1 per cent over the year, under economists’ expectations of a 2.4 per cent rise, after a 0.9 per cent monthly price dip. Producer prices fell 1.9 per cent over the year.
