BRITISH Land and Oxford Properties confirmed yesterday they have exchanged contracts with Lloyd’s of London insurer Amlin to pre-let 111,000 square feet at the Leadenhall Building, also known as the Cheesegrater, in the City.

Amlin will occupy levels 18-24 and level 45 of the 47-storey building on a 20-year lease, paying an average rent of £62.75 per sq ft.

The letting accounts for 20 per cent of the office space in the 610,000 sq ft skyscraper, which is now 51 per cent let. It is due for completion mid-2014.
