Gold miner Centamin yesterday said quarterly production at its Sukari gold mine in Egypt increased to its highest level ever last quarter. Production was 77 per cent up on figures for the same quarter last year, it said, with 87,016 ounces estimated to have been produced. The amount is two per cent higher than last quarter. “This marks a solid start to the year and output remains on target to achieve the 2013 guidance of 320,000 ounces,” chairman Josef El-Raghy said.
