Celtic learn European fate

FOOTBALL: Scottish Premier League champions Celtic will play Northern Ireland’s Cliftonville in the Champions League second qualifying round stage. The first leg will take place at Celtic Park on 16 or 17 July, with the return on 23 or 24 July. Celtic must progress through three qualifying rounds to reach the group stage. The Europa League second qualifying round draw has paired Scottish Cup runners-up Hibernian with either Irish side Drogheda United or Malmo of Sweden. Meanwhile, St Johnstone will play either Northern Ireland’s Crusaders or Norway’s Rosenborg.
